About Bluebell Cottage

Bluebell cottage is a charming detached house overlooking Bantry Bay in Southwest Ireland, about an hour and a half from the city of Cork. Built in the early 19th Century, and reputedly the oldest in the village, it was carefully renovated in 2008 to incorporate all modern appliances and conveniences while staying true to the original character.

There are wooden floors throughout and a large kitchen diner to seat six. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, hob, washing machine, tumble dryer and Stanley traditional range cooker. The cosy but spacious living room will seat six and has a coal/log fire. There are three bedrooms, two double and one single, as well as a futon downstairs which will convert to a double bed if required. The bathroom has a large cast iron bath and a shower, and an immersion heater for hot water. All the bedrooms have pleasant views of the countryside of West Cork.

Outside there is a patio enclosed by a ‘living wall’ full of flowers and birds nests. Upstairs is a sunny roof terrace with views over Bantry Bay.
